I know you have many, many questions.
And I am more than happy to answer them for you today.
By now you’ve all had over 24 hours to let the moving away news seep in (Melissa Lion has had a little bit longer, but her path to acceptance is steep my friends – much like the hills in San Francisco as was pointed out to me by my friend Ned Lannamann) and I imagine you’ve got some simmering resentment, curiosity, and bewilderment in your stockpots of love or whatever.
So ask away – throw your questions into the pot and I’ll bring them to a roiling boil!
Relocation Specialist Kiala™ is here for you.
(Oh! And yes, the blog is coming with me. You people are all I HAVE. Well, you guys and the Effexor. More on the Effexor tomorrow.)

How does ZZ feel about this? Does she have her own prescription for doggie Effexor?
Who should I kick off my friend list to make room for you? How many favorite people can one person have?
How often are you coming to fabulous Oakland?
What’s the exact date of your arrival?
Should I wear a party hat?
Crissy – ZZ doesn’t know yet but we plan on giving her some kind of doggie valium for the drive down.
Andie – Kick them all off. Dane and I are like 50 fun people in ONE. And we should be moved by the 10th of November. We don’t have a place to live yet so there’s always a chance we could live in Oakland.
Or my mom’s basement.
Boss Lady –
1) Who will pretend to let me be their intern now?
2) When can I come visit?
3) Will you stop talking to me once you get a better, prettier Intern?
4) When can I see you before you go!?
When BSG returns in a couple of months, will I squeal like a little girl or will I maintain my dignity and just piss myself in silent glee?
What effect will your migration have on the overall livability in Portland? Will it better for those of us remaining because so many unworthy-types will stop bothering to come here any longer? Or will the void you Hesseldahls/Kazebees leave behind be too great?
Can I be the official big fucking dork Portland FotC correspondent?
Are you gonna eat that?
Good news! (Not a question, sorry.) How about this: Good news?
My path is steep and I am falling down it and it hurts. I have bruises. Ow my arm!
Will you please eat at Tartine on my behalf. PLEASE?
AndieE if you didn’t hold my infant son while he screamed and I stared at the wall contemplating the deep pit that’s post-partum depression, I might be mad at you a little for getting Kiala. Wait, remember when we made pie dough in the trailer???
1. why are you leaving before we ever got to hang out? because you know we’d have been great friends.
2. no one can replace you, but since i am moving to the building across the street from the building where you broke your lease, and i am tall and brunette, do i get to be the surrogate you, minus the fun tv watching parties and fabulous hair and fashion sense and shoe collection and writing ability and all the other things that make you awesome?
3. am i a little drunk right now?
4. ok, so how does one determine they need things like effexor? because i often wonder if i need things like that in my life again, but who am i to know that about myself?
5. maybe i am tipsy?
I’ve missed your blog!
1. Why aren’t you moving to NYC?
2. Was the Effexor prescribed simply to keep you from drinking?
3. Can you take Klonopin with Effexor?
4. I thought you were only going to live in SF Metro and now you are talking about Oakland. Zup wif dat?
5. Neighborhoods: Have you checked out the Mission District? That’s the place to live. North Beach? Upper Haight in Haight-Ashbury? Castro?
6. Where was your blog this morning at about 9am?
yeah, where the fuck was the blog, hunh?? you SAID it was staying put! don’t LIE TO US kiala, or we’ll track your nomadic ass down and cut you good.
My wife will be sad – she only hung out with you like twice but still thinks you’re the bomb. I’ll break the news to her slowly.
Oh, and why are you moving to SF?
If you’re not moving before November 1 – you should come to Willow’s surprise bday party – I’ll tell Jesse to call Dane and invite you f’ers!
You are moving to San Francisco? Rad! I have friends up there in a moped gang.
Congrats Kiala! Please stay in touch.
I know you will be having many goodbye parties, but I hope you will also find time for one last PBT meeting.
Lady, where is your blog? I just discovered it last week, became obsessed, and now you seem to have cut and run. Come back.
