Okay, so at first I tried beholding it with my elbow and I was like, I don’t get the Macky stuff. Then I reread the post, tried it with my eyes and I was still thinking, well, he’s very cute and skinny and pale and British all things I look for in a matinee idol, but I still think Colin Firth works odd period clothing better.
Kiala, Have you watched the 6-hour BBC production of P & P? I’m not saying I love it more than I love driving a Hummer that uses the blood of orangutans instead of gasoline or more than I love chocolate. But I might have spent three solid months watching it on the computer when I was on bedrest. And I still spend a quiet, weepy, alone moment with this well-worn disc on a weekly basis. Have you seen it? If you haven’t, I’m bringing the DVDs over and we’re having a little lesson in hotness. And the regency period.
Are you kidding me? I’ve seen it like 5 million times. I’M ONLY HUMAN.
Plus, I was an English major at several different universities. So yes.

Anyway, I know I totally have a thing for slightly androgenous
skinny pale English boys with good noses and pretty eyes. This is disturbing for Dane because he’s not English. Still, whatever, he has a thing for Reese Witherspoon and she is like what God would make if God were making the opposite of me.

But I have met women who have never seen it before. I was one of those women. I’ve mended my ways. And like any good addict, I’m always doing my best to turn others into Colin Firth crack whores.
Those women are not real women. They are only interested in tanning and not eating.

yeah-it’s good and all, but you missed the whole swimming part!!! but, seeing the Firth in his 19th century undies is good enough for now.
I couldn’t find the swimming on the Youtubes. I’m sorry. I know about it though, and it is GOOD.
I’m a Firth purist. I’m actually afraid that if I see him in something else, I’ll lose my Darcy love. Oh, also, I know nothing about movies.
